The Jazz today extended the contract of 2019 No. 14 pick Romeo Langford with the No. 10 pick, according to a joint report by TA Jazz contributor Tony Jones and Hall of Famer Shams.

Langford is a 6-foot-6, 215-pound power forward. He possesses excellent athleticism and shooting ability and was a second-team All-American in college.

Langford was drafted by the Celtics in the 2019 draft and has played for the Celtics and Spurs over the past three seasons.In 2022-23, Langford made 43 appearances (21 starts) for the Spurs, averaging 6.9 points, 2.7 boards, 1.2 assists, 0.6 breaks, and 0.3 caps in 19.6 minutes per game on 46.7/26.2/ 69.6%.

The addition of Langford will add to the Jazz's power forward depth. The Jazz's current power forward lineup features players such as Mitchell, Burks and Clarkson with excellent scoring ability but insufficient defensive intensity. The addition of Langford could provide the Jazz with more defensive options and inside help.
